I think one syllable middle names work best with Spencer. I voted Broo…
How can you not get that? An obvious feminine mn will clue people in that she is in fact a she. A mn that is masculine or similar enough to be mistaken as masculine (since the human brain does funny things. Like expects to see a masculine mn after a masculine fn) will give her NOTHING to identify with as a girl. You don't see a problem being a girl with absolutely no feminity in your name or a name that could be easily misread as masculine?

For what it's worth, I know a girl Spencer in her early 20's. I think it's absolutely ridiculous. Save it for a boy or put it in the middle name spot.
If you insist on sticking with Spencer, then I'd go with Olivia for the middle. It's a nice name that she can use when she's an adult and it lends itself to some nice nicknames.
I think it's unfortunate for your daughter that you refuse to reconsider in light of the negative feedback. It's obviously your choice, but it's her burden to carry. :-/

The News is announcing it? Um. Ok
The county newspaper I work for had a teen who got a ticket for swearing at a playground on the front page this morning...;) Small town news.
OP
My dd has a masculine first name (my grandmothers maiden name..ends in son) but I can be shortened to a girly nickname (she is 7 and hasn't wanted to do this yet nor has anyone else...) and she has a feminine virtue name for.her middle...So I agree if you're set on giving her a boys name I would go obviously feminine with the middle name.
FWIW I'm not a fan of overtly masculine names on girls...with my dd family tradition and ties trumped that for us. She was also.born in 2006 in a sea of Madison and Addison's so it didn't fully dawn on me at the time
Louise is my go to middle name suggestion as I love it and it sounds good with most names Imo.

No I'm not going to reconsider the name at all! I love it. She will love it!
I always think of Spencer as a surname, and I think a lot of surnames can be unisex (unless the meaning is masculine), but this is not one of them. Spencer is so ridiculous on a girl. I think if you insist on using it, put it in the middle spot and give her a feminine first name.
If you insist on using this ridiculous first name, I don't think any of your choices are great with it. Olivia, Nicole, and Danielle, as Metz mentioned, can easily look like male names at first glance. Brooke sounds awkward, though I like it best. Peyton is a traditionally masculine name and I would not pair it with Spencer unless you were having a boy.
Jane, Elizabeth, or Catherine would be my suggestions.

How do you know?
I mean, I could say the same for any child being names any name. There's no guarantee they'll love it...or even like it. But when there's plenty of people on this board who had unisex/masculine names and hated them...how can you possibly know? It's like saying you *know* your daughter will get married, like dogs more than cats, or major in biology.
